Frequently asked questions
French courses for children and teens: your questions
From what age can my child learn French with you?
From age 3, in private lessons adapted to their age. From age 15, teenagers can also join our group courses.
Are the lessons for children online or in person?
Both are possible: private lessons take place online or in person, depending on the child’s age, needs and your availability.
How does a French lesson for a child work?
The teacher adapts the activities to age and level: games, songs and stories for the youngest, reading, writing and speaking for older children, and work linked to Geneva school life for pupils.
My child is arriving in Geneva and does not speak French: what should I do?
Geneva public schools welcome non-French-speaking pupils. Our private lessons complement this path: they help your child gain confidence, keep up in class and make friends faster.
Do you prepare teenagers for French exams?
Yes. Our teachers prepare for the DELF, DALF and TCF, and support teenagers in their plans to study in French.
